UPDATE – 8:40 a.m. All SCL&P customers in Danbury have had their power restored.
DANBURY — This morning’s storm has caused power outages for several hundred Southern Connecticut Light and Power customers in the city.
As of 7 a.m., 454 SCL&P customers were without power in Danbury, according to the utility’s website. The utility serves just under 36,000 customers in the city.
Rain showers, occasionally heavy, are expected to continue in the area throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service.
Overnight there is also a chance of snow, as temperatures drop into the high 20s before the precipitation tapers off around 3 a.m., according to NWS.
