Danbury program views technology and health care

On May 6, at the general meeting of the Danbury Area Computer Society, Dr. John Patrick about the future of health care and the internet at the Danbury Hospital Auditorium.

Patrick is a former vice president of Internet Technology at IBM and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He will speak about the many ways that health care quality and health care delivery methods can be improved through the use of internet-connected devices.

Patrick’s talk will also cover topics such as home health care monitoring, wearable devices that connect to the internet, personalized health care from our genomes, e-prescriptions, and e-dispensing.

DACS General Meetings are free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome.

Doors open at 6:30 PM for registration and casual networking. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM with Ask DACS, an open Q&A session, followed by the main presentation at 8:00 PM.
