DANBURY —An intoxicated customer at Danbury Billiards & Cafe was arrested early Sunday morning after he threatened to kill security officers at the business, and the family of the arresting police officer, when they required he leave the premises and took him to jail, police said.

Nicholas Cipolla, 31, of Smith Street in Danbury, was charged with threatening, interfering with a police officer, breach of peace, simple trespass and failure to submit to fingerprinting.

Police said officers were called to the club by security officers at 1:36 a.m. about an intoxicated client refusing to leave the premises. When the security officers attempted to escort him outside, he threatened to kill them, police said. Officers then attempted to escort him off the property, and he refused to leave, and resisted arrest, police said. After he was placed into the cruiser, Cipolla apparently then threatened to kill the officer’s family, police said.

Cipolla is being held on $10,000 bond for arraignment in the Superior Court in Danbury tomorrow morning.
