– Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will be honored by the National Low Income Housing Coalition with the Edward W. Brook III Housing Leadership Award at the organization’s 32nd Annual Housing Leadership Awards Reception in recognition of the historic investments the state has made in affordable housing during his administration.
Since Malloy took office three and a half years ago, Connecticut has committed nearly $750 million to preserve or construct new affordable housing units across our state – the largest investment in affordable housing in Connecticut in decades, according to the coalition.
The award will be presented an event at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, DC Tuesday night.
