Brookfield parent Amy Ferrarie shares her thoughts on the news that Brookfield High Principal Joseph Palumbo will be departing the district at the end of the school year. Palumbo, 36, has been in the district for five years, two as assistant principal and three as principal.

“We have been fortunate to have Joe Palumbo leading Brookfield High School for the past 3 years.  When Joe announced his resignation as principal of BHS last week, there was a reverberation of sadness and regret.  Joe is a champion for his students. He supports the Brookfield High School community through many various acts; showing up at a sports run car wash, being present at sporting and musical events, spending the entire evening at the Grad party and wishing his graduates well at the end of an amazing wrap up of their high school careers.  He always has a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye, he has a soft spoken demeanor that encourages trust and confidence . The students are able to talk candidly with him, they can identify with him. He is a positive role model and will be deeply missed.  Brookfield will deeply miss him.”
