Bob Coppola, Walter Bayer, Pete Bass & Tom Esposito tour the new Senior Bus
NEW MILFORD — The new 2014 senior bus in New Milford is ready to roll. Town Council members took a brief tour of the bus Monday inspecting its wheelchair lift, improved safety treads on the bus floor, brighter lights and lower step up from and down to the ground. The bus was paid for with a Department of Transportation 5310 Matching Grant Program and donation from the New Milford Lion’s Club. The town of New Milford now has two senior buses. Director of Senior Services Carolan Haglund said that some 10,000 trips are made yearly by the senior bus.
