Unexpectedly, there’s been a serious numbers snowy owls showing up along the state’s shoreline _ not just one or two but several.
They’re uncommon visitors to the state. Their arrival here probably has more to do with lemming populations in the Arctic tundra than a decision to seek warmer climes. They can deal with the cold. They’re just hungry.
