DANBURY — A Danbury man who allegedly rear-ended another car, then got into a fight with it’s driver and occupants at a commuter parking lot, was arrested by Danbury police early Sunday.
EvanRichter, 22, of Saugatuck Road, was charged with drunken driving and reckless driving as a result of the incident.
Police were called to the commuter parking lot at Sugar Hollow and Miry Brook roads for a report of a fight in progress shortly after 2 a.m.
No one was there was officers arrived, but about the same time, a patrol supervisor reported a motorist operating erratically on West Street, nearly colliding with at least two vehicles, including the police car.
Richter was eventually taken into custody back near where the incident allegedly began, on Patriot Drive, police said.
Witnesses, including a passenger in Richter’s vehicle, told police that Richter failed to stop after the accident, and the second driver followed him to the parking lot, where an altercation took place.
Neither the second vehicle nor the driver could be located, police said.
