DANBURY — A 29-year-old Danbury man who police said accosted several women while riding a scooter in the downtown area in March was arrested Wednesday on sexual assault and other charges.
Jesse Schrack, of Spring Street, was taken into custody by officers from the Community Conditions Unit who were aware a superior court warrant had been issued for his arrest, police said.
Police said they had received complaints from several women that a man on a scooter had “made inappropriate comments and solicitations” and groped one of the women in March.
Investigators from the Special Victims Unit investigated the incidents and Office Travis Weber identified Schrack as a man fitting the suspect’s description, police said.
Schrack was also positively identified by an eyewitness, police said.
He was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and three counts of breach of peace and is being held on $50,000 bond, police said.
