The New Fairfield Lions Club’s annual Fourth of July parade has been cancelled due to the threat of rain.
The Lions Club made the announcement on its website Friday citing the threat of inclement weather. There is no rain date.
The National Weather Service is forecasting severe thunderstorms in the area beginning Thursday followed by showers and the chance of thunderstorms on the holiday.
