The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch and a hazardous weather warning for portions of Southern Connecticut, including Fairfield County.
The severe weather watches will be in effect from noon on Monday into Wednesday morning.
According to the weather service, multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will produce torrential downpours.
Total rainfall in the next few days is estimated to be more than 2 to 3 inches. There is a chance of flooding in areas and roadways.
