DANBURY – The return of a multi-act concert on Saturday and Sunday in downtown Danbury has prompted Mayor Mark Boughton  to proclaim the two days as Beatles Weekend.

The Danbury Fields Forever Festival on Saturday and Sunday will honor the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ arrival in America.

“It is exciting to see this fun, musical array of talented performers coming back to our Ives Concert Park,” Boughton said in a prepared statement. “The musical acts are terrific, the food is great, and the fans make the event a time to remember.”

Doors open at noon both days  at the Ives Concert Park on Lake Avenue. Music continues until 8 p.m.

Tickets start at $19.64, and can be purchased at www.Fab4MusicFestival.com. A portion of ticket proceeds benefit the Hearst Education Fund.
