Danbury brothers facing drug charges

Three Danbury men were arrested Monday night on drug and weapons charges.

Danbury Police’s Special Investigations Division executed a search and seizure warrant in the home of two brothers, Kevin, 21, and Lenny Gallardo, 23. In the house police found four ounces of marijuana, and a large sum of narcotics.

While in the process of executing the search warrant police encountered Julio Bispo, 20, at the home. According to the report, when Bispo noticed police he attempted to flee the scene.

When police obtained Bispo he was found with a substantial quantity of drugs, money, and a .32 caliber revolver.

According to police, this is the second time in less than two months that the Gallardo’s house has been searched. Lenny Gallardo was arrested in the first search last month and was charged for possession of drugs and the intent to sell.

This is the fifth arrest for Kevin Gallardo in the past two years. His charges range from criminal mischief, driving without a license, to the possession of marijuana.

Bispo was arrested for carrying a weapon without a permit, and five drug charges, including intent to sell. His bond is set at $15,000.

The Gallardo brothers were charged with 11 counts of drug related felonies. Including possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana, and intent to sell. The bonds for both bothers has been set at $100,000 and they have not been released.
