DANBURY – Thunderstorms and heavy rain with the potential for lightning and flash flooding is on the radar Wednesday night, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a hazardous weather outlook for southwestern Connecticut.
The forecast was for a 60 percent chance of a storm before 9 p.m. as a cold front moves into the area and temperatures reach a low of 68, with the potential for wind gusts and as much as a half-inch of rain.
Expect the rain to continue overnight, with more showers expected Thursday morning during the commute to work.
