NEW MILFORD — Larry Badaracco has been appointed head football coach for New Milford High School. Badaracco played sports at Immaculate High School and at Western Connecticut State University where he was on varsity for four years. He was an assistant coach at WCSU for five years.
Previous coach John Murphy, who resigned last month for “personal reasons,” was under investigation by the school board. Details of the investigation remain unclear.
Murphy was hired in 2013 after a decade-plus of success at Masuk High School in Monroe, but the New Milford High School Green Waves went a lackluster 4-7 during his season with the team.
