The annual CT United Ride will take place on Sunday, with more than 4,000 motorcyclists participating.
The ride will go through multiple Fairfield County towns including; Redding, Bethel and Newtown. It will honor those who lost their lives in the attacks of Sept. 11.
CT United Ride is recognized as the largest 9/11 tribute in the state. Gov. Dannel Malloy will speak at the opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. in Norwalk at the Norden Industrial Park.
Police are asking drivers to find alternative routes as the ride takes place. The motorcyclists will not be stopping at traffic lights and sighs, delays for drivers could be 20 to 30 minutes.
