A Danbury man was arrested in Brookfield for criminal impersonation on Saturday.

Matthew Ukers, 44, was found by police parked in the travel lane on Candlewood Lake Road. Police said he was attempting to remove something from the road.

When an officer asked for Ukers’s license, he claim he left it at home and gave an officer a fake name. After further investigation it was found that Ukers had a suspended license and was giving police false information.

Ukers was arrested and charged for criminal impersonation and operating a car with a suspended licence. He was later released from the Brookfield Police Department on a $200 cash bond.
