WRKI I-95 DJ Pam Brooks and Bruce Caplin, owner of The 10 Minute Dog, will be the celebrity bartenders at a fundraiser at Two Steps Downtown Grille, 5 Ives St. in Danbury, from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22.
Brooks will be making her signature drink, Hang on Snoopy, and Caplin will be making his Lucky Dog drink during the event. Ten percent of all food and drinks, plus tips, and money from raffle prizes, t-shirt sales, and auction items, will go to Shake a Paw to fund the cost of sending two dogs to Forever Home Rescue and Rehabilitation Center.
Louie is one of the dogs for whom funds are being raised at a Yappy Hour fundraiser at Two Steps in Danbury Oct. 22.
This event is intended to help get Louie, a 4- or 5-year-old pitbull terrier, and Jessie, a 1 and 1/2 year old lab/pit mix, to the Forever Home Rescue and Rehabilitation Center in Virginia. You can see more about these two dogs on the Gofundme page created for them by clicking here.
