Bands of heavy rain over Danbury and surrounding towns will make for dangerous driving conditions for Thursday morning commute.
Rainfall rates are up to one inch per hour for towns with heavy rain, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Due to the heavy rain the Danbury area has been issued a flood advisory for the morning.
Drivers should use caution this morning as roads may flood and be slick.
Do not drive into areas where water covers the roadway. Most flooding deaths occur in cars, according to NWS.
Storms will continue until this afternoon.
