- On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, Western Connecticut State University will hol;d its annual spring Jazzfest. This year should be memorable.
- On Thursday there will be a tribute to the saxophonist Jimmy Greene – who lost his daughter Ana Grace Marquez-Greene in the Sandy Hook shooting in December.
- On Friday, acclaimed trumpeter Wallace Roney will perform with the WCSU Jazz Orchestra
- And on Saturday. guitar virtuosos John Scofield will play in a trio with the great bass player Steve Swallow and drummer Bill Stewart
