DANBURY — A 42-year-old Danbury woman was in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries at Danbury Hospital Wednesday morning after being struck by a car Tuesday night, according to police.
Barbar Mouning was struck Tuesday about 9:14 p.m. in the area of New and Stevens streets by a car driven by Julio Rodriguez, 39, also of Danbury, police said. Mouning was standing in the roadway but not in the crosswalk at the time she was hit, police said. At this point, the reason she was stopped in the street is unknown but it is believe to be alcohol related, according to police. Mouning was taken by ambulance to Danbury Hospital.
