A head on car crash in Newtown early Monday night led to the hospitalization of the two drivers.
Around 5:30 p.m. Newtown police, Dodgingtown and Hook and Ladder fire departments responded to a head on collision on Route 302.
Stefan Moros, 30, of Bethel was driving Westbound on Dodgingtown Road when he crossed over the center line and crashed into Thelma Westlake, 54, of Woodbury, according to police report.
Firefighters had to extricate Moros out of his car, but both Moros and Westlake were taken to Danbury Hospital for injuries they sustained.
No information on the types of injuries they had, but both are listed in fair condition at Danbury Hospital, said hospital spokeswoman.
Police shut down Dogingtown Road between Flat Swap and Cemetery Road for over an hour.
According to the police report, Moros is under investigation for the accident.
