A large truck has crashed into a utility pole and brought down the traffic lights on Newtown Road.
The truck was coming off of Exit 8 on I-84 Eastbound when it crashed into the pole holding up the lights at the intersection. All the light at the intersection are down and traffic is building on the off ramp of Exit 8.

The driver was taken away in an ambulance, Danbury police and State Police are currently on scene.
Drivers should avoid the area due to traffic.
