In a vicious attack just a couple of days after Thanksgiving, two men wearing ski masks broke into a home on Irving Place in Danbury, shooting one and assaulting another, police said.
Late Saturday night two men kicked down the door of the home, shooting a 25-year-old man in the leg, then physically assaulting a 70-year-old woman, police said.
Both victims were tied up and an undetermined amount of cash was stolen from the home, police said. The two men then left in an unknown direction.
The woman was taken to the hospital for her injuries and was then released. The male victim was also taken to the hospital, but no information has been released on his injuries.
Danbury Police are investigation and will not say if there are any suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau 203-797-4662.
