Route 7 has been reopened and the wires have been removed.

Both sides of Route 7 (Kent Road) in New Milford are closed due to wires that have fallen in the road way.

The route is closed north of the traffic T, near the Big Y, police said.
Police are waiting for CL&P crews to arrive on the scene. Police expect the route to be closed for another 45 minutes to an hour.
Police are detouring drivers up Peaglar Hill Road then onto Fort Hill Road, which will take driver back out to Kent Road.
