The morning commute is going to be a challenge, as freezing rain has turned roads to ice throughout the Danbury area.
A winter weather advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for Danbury and surrounding towns. Freezing rain has caused limited visibly and slippery roads.
The National Weather Service and the Department of Transportation are urging drivers to be cautious this morning on the roads. Heavy rain will continue throughout the morning, which will cause travel problems.
Rain will continue into the night with Tuesday’s high in the upper 30′s. However, the wind chill values will be between 25 and 30, according to the National Weather Service.
