UPDATE 10:36 a.m.
When firefighters arrived at West Wooster Street, crews found fire on the second floor and shooting up through the roof.
Neighbors told firefighters the building had been vacant for some time.
According to the fire department, crews were able to put out the fire in a short amount of time. There was no building collapse or injuries.
The fire is still under investigation.
UPDATE 9:50 AM
The house at 47 West Wooster Street had been abandoned, said Steve Rogers, the department spokesman.
“We responded with a full second alarm and we it out in short order,” he said.

Fire officials are investigating an overnight fire on West Wooster Street in Danbury.
The second alarm fire at 47 West Wooster St. fire broke out after 1 AM.
The two-story house that was unoccupied, received extensive damage, including a partial collapse.
According to property records, the 1,744-square-foot house, is accessed at $271,300.
The house, built in 1925, has eight rooms.
