DANBURY — A 30 year old city man is facing drunk driving charges following two car crash Sunday about 3:10 a.m.
Marco Robles, of Franklin Street Extension, Danbury was arrested after he drove his car through a red light on Main Street at the corner of Rose Street, striking a 2002 Honada traveling eastbound on Rose Street, police said.
The driver of the Honda, Evelyn Rivera, 61, of Danbury, was taken to Danbury Hospital by ambulance and treated at the emergency room and released, police said.
When officers spoke to Robles, he had blood shot eyes and smelled of an alcoholic beverage, the report said. Robles failed a subsequent field sobriety test.
He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and released on $1,000 bond. His court date is Jan. 5 in Superior Court in Danbury.
