A Danbury man was arrested on Sunday after being found naked and bloody in a woman’s closet, police said.
Cordero Callands, 26, has been charged with first degree burglary, third degree criminal mischief, breach of peace and threatening.
The incident began when Danbury police officer were paroling Osborne Street and heard arguing. They found Callandas and his child’s mother yelling at each other in the street, police said. Callands and the woman told police everything was fine and the officers kept patrolling.
Minutes later the woman called the officers saying she was scared and that she lied earlier because she was afraid of Callands, police said.
Officers went to the woman’s home where they found broken glass from a window, police said. As police searched the room they opened the closet to find Callands naked and bleeding from cuts he sustained from breaking the window.
EMS had to tend to his injuries at the home and then was taken to the police department. Callands has been released on a $5,000 bond and is due in court on February 17.
