Two men attempted to break into a home in Danbury, but got sprayed with pepper spray by the home owner.
On Thursday morning, Danbury officers were sent to a home on Stevens Street for a break in, police said. Dispatch reported that a dark skinned man was forcing his way into a home.
When officers arrived they found the victim, a 27-year-old man, who told police that a dark skinned man and a light skinned man were banging on the home’s door. According to the police report, the men forced their way in and the three started to fight.
The victim ended up spraying the two men with pepper spray, which caused them to run from the home, police said. The men left in a gray car in an unknown direction.
The investigation is ongoing. However, police say that the victim does know the two suspects and this was an isolated incident.
