Cops charge two after Danbury drug bust

DANBURY- Two people were arrested Friday afternoon after officers from the Community Conditions Unit observed a drug transaction on Germantown Road, police said.
Catherine Lodato, 53, of Garfield Avenue, was charged with possession of narcotics, sale of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of the 1:27 p.m. Incident. Richard Mandell, 27, of Linden Tree Lane, was charged with possession of narcotics,police said.
Police were tipped that Lodato was selling heroin, and after spotting her on Main Street, they followed the car she was in to a parking lot on Germantown Road, where the transaction took place, police said.
