UPDATE 11:45 AM:
A Pennsylvania man was giving a verbal warning for driving too fast for the conditions after his tractor trailer slid down Wilson Street and into a Grand Street home early Thursday morning. The driver, Devron Sargent, 48, of Dowingtown, Pa., was not injured in the 5:35 a.m. crash. No one inside the home was hurt.
There was structural damage to the home and the building department was notified.
UPDATE 9:30 AM:
The tractor trailer was towed from the scene shortly after 9 a.m. Police said they will release details about the accident later today.
ORIGINAL POST:
A tractor trailer crashed into a Danbury home early Thursday morning. The accident occurred during the overnight hours on Grand Street when the truck slid on a hill and into the home. Police could not immediately provide more details, but Mayor Mark Boughton has tweeted that no one was hurt. He warned to watch out for black ice as temperatures are continuing to drop.
Police remain on scene of the accident.
