Connecticut is the fifth most energy efficient state in the US, according to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy.The council’s annual ranking put Connecticut behind Massachusetts, California, New York and Oregon in its efforts to use energy in the most efficient manner possible.
The report shows that the move to become more energy-efficient is clustered on the East and West Coasts. Of the top ten states, only one -Illinois at Number 10 – was in the nation’s interior.
The other states in the top ten were Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and Maryland.
