Two empty parked cars in the driveway of a home on Bennetts Farm Road in Ridgefield were found with bullet holes Monday morning, police said.
A single shot is believed to have passed through the body of one of the cars and then hit the other, police said. No injuries were reported.
The owner of the cars and the home called police at 7:35 a.m. Monday morning upon discovering the bullet marks. Police believe the incident occurred at 2 a.m. on Monday, although Public Information Officer Jeff Kreitz would not explain why because the investigation is ongoing.
The home is located near the intersection of Bennetts Farm Road and Old Stagecoach Road.
