The fifth annual Ridgefield Chili Festival will be held Sunday, April 26, from 2-4 p.m. at the Ridgefield Community Center.
The event will feature free tastings from five Ridgefield restaurants: 850 Degrees, Ancient Mariner, Bernard’s Restaurant and Sarah’s Wine Bar, Little Pub and Southwest Cafe.
A chili cook-off will also be held for amateur chefs, and there will be a vote for the Peoples’ Choice Award for the best amateur chili. There is no charge for cook-off entrants.
The event is a fundraiser for the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee. To enter as an amateur cook, email the DTC at communications@ridgefielddems.org.
Tickets to the event are $25 for adults ages 16 and up. A family pack admits up to four children ages 7-15, if accompanied by a parent or guardian with a general admission ticket, for $10, and children age 6 and under are free.
Tickets can be purchased at https://co.clickandpledge.com/advanced/default.aspx?wid=75295 in advance or at the door.
