The former Bethel school teacher accused of sexually assaulting three children will return to court May 6 after he was granted a straight continuance in the case this week, according to the clerk’s office in state Superior Court in Danbury.
Brian Stroh, 30, was expected to offer a plea Tuesday, but the court waived his appearance.
The New Fairfield resident, who used to teach at Berry Elementary School, faces three counts each of risk of injury to a minor and risk of injury to a minor with sexual contact, all felonies, and three counts of misdemeanor sexual assault charges.
No details of the assaults have been provided, as the arrest warrant remains sealed, but the victims are three boys, ages 6, 9 and 11.
Stroh was arrested March 9 and was released three weeks later after posting $250,000 bond.
Bethel Public Schools placed him on leave Feb. 19 upon learning he was under investigation for inappropriate conduct with children. He later resigned.
