Handyman charged with swiping $100k in jewelry in Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD — A handyman was arrested Tuesday after investigators found that he stole more than $100,000 in jewelry from a Ridgefield home, police said.

Edwin Medina, 34, of Hoyt St., Danbury, turned himself in to police after learning of a warrant for his arrest on a first-degree larceny charge.

Police said Medina stole the jewelry while doing work a Ridgefield home in March.

He posted $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 1.
