Fifth-graders at Scotland Elementary will host the seventh-annual tag sale, cleverly titled “The Biggest Tag Sale Ever,” from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday on their campus at 111 Barlow Mountain Road.
Proceeds from the event, which will be held rain or shine, will be donated to the Food Pantry of Ridgefield, which gives relief to families in need of assistance. Patrons can “shop” in the pantry’s storeroom, which is generally stocked with pasta, soup and canned goods. It also provides them with Stop and Shop gift cards for perishable items like milk and produce.
The fifth-graders will be selling gently-used toys, games, books, furniture, houseware and athletic equipment. In the last six years, they event has raised more than $12,000.
