NEWTOWN — Three out-of-state people were arrested Saturday evening after passing counterfeit money at Walgreens, 49 S. Main St., police said.
After receiving a report of suspicious activity at the store at about 6 p.m., officers stopped the suspect’s car on the Interstate 84 ramp at exit 11, according to police. They found $8,000 in counterfeit money and other evidence in the car, police said.
Michael Labeach, 26, of Orange, N.J., and Dnell Fairman-Campbell, 20, of Brooklyn, N.Y., were charged with first-degree forgery and fifth-degree larceny.
Labeach posted $6,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 20. Fairman-Cambpell is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond.
Jheanelle Blake, 23, of Orange, N.J., was charged with fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit a crime. She posted $5,000 bond and appeared in court Monday.
