DANBURY — An unlicensed and intoxicated driver was caught traveling the wrong way early Thursday morning, police said.
Pedro Sandoval, 41, of Whaley Street, Danbury, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without a license, failure to have auto insurance, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, among other traffic violations.
Police said Sandoval’s car did not have its lights activated when they saw him at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday. When officers stopped him on Spring Street, they detected an odor of alcohol and Sandoval eventually failed the field sobriety tests, according to the report.
He was held on a $1,500 bond.
