Police are searching for two men accused of robbing a Danbury resident who was walking his dog on Chestnut Street Wednesday morning.
When officers met the victim just before 11 a.m., he told them he was walking his dog in the rear of an apartment complex when the dog broke loose and ran towards the railroad tracks, police said.
The man was following the dog when two robbers approached him and demanded money, according to the report. Police said the victim handed over an undisclosed amount of money and his cell phone.
The suspects, who took off in an unknown direction, were described as dark skinned, between the ages of 25 and 30, tall and with very short hair, according to police. One of them was wearing blue overalls and the other was wearing a blue jacket, dark pants and black boots, police said.

DANBURY — Police are investigating a possible street robbery in the area of Chestnut and Wildman streets, Lt. Christian Carroccio said Wednesday morning.
The individuals indicated having a weapon, according to scanner reports.
This is an active investigation and no further details were immediately available.
