Charles Darwin hypothesized that on an island without predators, animals would tend to be more docile. He noticed this when he visited the Galapagos Islands and found a birds and beasts calmly ignoring the humans in the midst.
Now a researcher has put Darwin’s idea to the test, studying 66 species of lizards. As with most things, Darwin was right.
