Fresh off his performance at the Grammy Awards and the taping of the upcoming CBS special about the 50th anniversary of the Beatles on the “Ed Sullivan Show,” Ringo Starr has announced announced new tour dates with his All-Starr Band. The Connecticut show will be June 14 at 8 p.m. at Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford. Tickets ($45, $55, $75) go on sale this Friday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com and Oakdale.com. This version of the band is the same lineup he’s been playing with since 2012. It features Steve Lukather, best known for his work with Toto; Richard Page of Mr. Mister; Gregg Rolie of Santana and Journey fame; Todd Rundgren; and drummer Greg Bissonette.
The tour kicks off in Rama, Ontario on June 6 and runs through July 19. On July 7, Ringo’s birthday, he’s planning a “Peace & Love” celebration. More details will be released later.
