BROOKFIELD — Two Waterbury men were arrested after a strong-arm robbery at a Dunkin Donuts shop on Federal Road Wednesday night, police said.

Dion Bernier, 21, was wearing a ski mask when he ran into the store about 8:52 p.m., allegedly demanded money, then struggled with the cashier and stole her purse. He fled in a vehicle operated by another man that was parked in an adjacent lot, police said.

A witness was able to provide a description of the getaway car, and Bethel police stopped it in the Stony Hill area a short time later. A search of the vehicle yielded property that was stolen in the robbery, police said.

Bernier, who police said was homeless, and his alleged accomplice, Blerim Hodza, 25, were both charged with third-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny and two counts of conspiracy, police said.
