Pieces of The Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall arrived by truck rolling down Main Street in Danbury Tuesday for construction in front of the War Memorial.
The foundation already was put in place last week for the wall, which is a three-quarter size replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C.
On Thursday, school children and disabled veterans will be able to visit the wall in Danbury, and the memorial will open to the public Friday morning straight through Sunday afternoon. (Yes, even at midnight.)
Danbury is one of about 12 stops made a year for The Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall: A time to Remember, to Reflect, to Heal.
