On Wednesday, Brookfield
First Selectman Bill Tinsley was alone, other than his two dogs, Lexi, 10, and Toby, 6, in Town Hall after a determination was made that the weather was not safe to navigate for employees or visitors. He manned the phones, but he said there was not much need. So he caught up with paperwork and then accepted a lunch date from fellow
Republican Selectman Marty Flynn, who took a break from unfreezing frozen pipes. Flynn is the owner of a local plumbing business. The two jean-clad gents pose in front of the new Town Hall mural.

Lexi, 10, and Toby, 6. The solo call he had in the morning was from someone who needed an emergency plow. Otherwise the phones were silent giving him time to catch up on the daily town business paperwork.
