Newtown school officials Thursday night voted unanimously to hold steady on its proposed 2014-15 budget, seeking no increase from the current budget of just over $71 million.
But what school and town leaders still need to address is a proposed school security package of over $2 million. So far, that money is not budgeted anywhere, but safety remains a key priority for staff, students and parents.
