Danbury native and Roxbury resident Lindsey Jacobellis may not have a medal to pack for her trip home from the Winter Olympics but that doesn’t mean she will be without a souvenir to bring home from Sochi.
Jacobellis, 28, failed to medal this year in women’s snowboard cross in her third Winter Olympics, but the Olympian has apparently made a new furry friend she plans to bring home with her.
Jacobellis has been posting tweets and Instagram photos of herself and a stray dog she came upon in Sochi. And she may just bring the pup home.
Holly Brooks, a cross-country skier with the U.S. team, posted a photo of Jacobellis and her dog adding “this Sochi stray scored a one way ticket to the USA with @LindsJacobellis.”
