The Ridgefield Planning and Zoning Commission Tuesday approved a charge in zoning regulations that will increase the number of apartment allowed over office buildings.
With the change, property owners can have as many as eight apartments per acre. That increases the number from 2.2 units per acre..
Betty Brosius, the town’s director of planning, said the change will only apply to small lots immediately outside the town center.
Reed Whipple, owner of property at 40 Grove Street requested the change. Brosius said
