So, about that author I was talking to this past Tuesday … I promised more info, and here it is:

Barry Connolly will be at Byrd’s Books, 126 Greenwood Ave. in Bethel, this coming Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m., where he will be speaking about his latest novel, “On the Road to Damascus: The Story of Rebekah and Lucius.”

It’s the sequel to his first novel, “The Good Thief,” and as that story did,  it combines characters invented by Connolly with people and places from the Bible. Both of his novels have been optioned by a Christian film company based in California.

Connolly has done plenty of historical research to impart the sense of realism that he achieves in his stories. So it only makes sense that he will speak about the techniques he has for weaving together historical details and fiction to arrive at an engaging, believable novel when he appears at Byrd’s Books Tuesday.

Interested in writing historical fiction? You may be interested to hear what he has to say, and fans of his work will have the chance to have him sign their copies of his books. His books are available at Byrd’s Books, and online at Amazon and Barnes& Noble.

Call Byrd’s Books at 203-730-2973.
